OpenMoko, a Taiwan based company has revealed new mobile phone called Neo 1973. This is the world’s first open-sourced Linux mobile phone known as the FIC/OpenMoko Neo 1973.
On July 9th, 1,000 development kits will be coming out especially for the mobile application developers, straight out of China, with more on the way. The hardware specs have been jacked up, too. There are two types of kits available namely, the Neo Base and the Neo Advanced.

The OpenMoko’s Neo 1973 Open-Source Smartphone will be shipped for end customers by October 2007. The price has not been confirmed yet.
