The 2023 Audi TT is an engaging luxury sports car with a premium interior and the latest tech features. Pricing starts at $51,200.
As SUVs and electric vehicles grow in popularity, driving a comparatively old-school, gas-powered sports car is refreshing. The Audi TT fills that role with a sleek 2-door body available as a coupe or a roadster. This sports car doesn’t forget that it’s also a luxury car; this is a top-notch interior with high-quality materials and modern technology. The top rivals of the Audi TT in this price range include the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman, plus the BMW Z4.
The 2023 Audi TT starts at $51,200. The drop-top TT Roadster starts at $55,300, and the sportier TTS Coupe begins at $60,900. Alongside the BMW Z4, the TT is on the more affordable side of luxury sports cars. The TTS is priced close to the entry-level models of the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) don’t include the $1,095 factory-to-dealer delivery fee.

The only change for the 2023 model year is an updated 18-inch wheel design for the TT Coupe and TT Roadster. Unfortunately for enthusiasts with deep pockets, the turbocharged 5-cylinder TT RS has been discontinued, meaning many rivals in this class have high-performance options available that the TT can’t match.
The driving experience of the Audi TT is a happy marriage of sports car and luxury car. It’s not exactly a drag racer with the base turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, but the acceleration is quick and achieves a 0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds. The standard Quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system delivers driving confidence, and the suspension is tuned for a just-right balance of agility and comfort.
Upgrading to the TTS brings a sportier tuning of the same turbo-4 engine that powers the standard TT. The extra power and torque are noticeable when launching from a red light, and it shaves almost a full second off of this sports car’s 0-60 time. It also gains an adaptive suspension system, further improving comfort and handling.
The enthusiast in us would love to see a traditional manual transmission available, but we’re more than satisfied with the dual-clutch automatic unit in the TT. The shifts are timed just right, and it gets a little more engaging if you get the optional paddle shifters.
The Audi TT has a rich interior that’s both sporty and luxurious. It has a driver-centric cockpit with a digital gauge cluster and no screen on the center stack, which adds a refreshing simplicity. The TT Coupe has two small back seats — a space better suited for packages than people — while the TT Roadster is a 2-seater with a small trunk.
The Audi brand is traditionally associated with conservative, restrained aesthetics, but that’s not how we would describe the TT. It has an edgy look with a stylish blend of sharp lines and smooth curves. The grille and bumpers are restyled on the TTS, implying its more aggressive performance.
Quattro AWD
The legendary Quattro all-wheel-drive system comes standard on every Audi TT. This sends the right amount of torque to the wheels that need it for optimal grip in all driving conditions.
S Line Competition Package
The S Line Competition Package adds sportier aesthetics and performance to the TT. The appearance package includes a fixed rear wing, black exterior accents, 19-inch wheels with summer tires, and red brake calipers. You also get a lowered sport suspension system and leather/Alcantara sport seats.
Nappa leather seats
Soft Nappa leather seating comes standard on the TT, which is impressive at this price point. These premium seats reinforce the TT’s luxury car credentials and are available in black or Palomino Brown.
Audi Virtual Cockpit
Rather than a screen at the top of the center stack, the infotainment system in the TT is right in front of the driver. The Audi Virtual Cockpit uses a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster that you can customize to show you everything you want and nothing you don’t. It’s loaded with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and navigation.
Bang & Olufsen audio
A rich Bang & Olufsen audio system comes standard in every TT. This premium audio system has 12 speakers and 680 watts of power.
High-performance TTS
The Audi TTS improves the performance of this sports car along with a sporty appearance package while keeping the price reasonable. It has extra power and torque over the base TT, plus an adaptive suspension system.
The base turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is the more popular choice under the hood of the Audi TT. The on-paper specs may not drop any jaws, but the acceleration is quick and never feels underpowered. It’s reasonably fuel-efficient for a luxury sports car and doesn’t require premium gas.
The Audi TTS uses a sportier version of the turbocharged 4-cylinder in the standard TT. It makes more power and torque and has a quicker 0-60 mph time by 0.8 seconds compared to the TT. Oddly, the TTS is slightly more fuel efficient than the TT, but it requires premium gas yielding higher fuel costs.
Both engines are mated to a quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system comes standard.

Parking System Plus
This standard system consists of parking sensors at both ends. If the TT maneuvers toward any hazard, a series of beeps will become louder and more insistent the closer it gets.
Audi Side Assist
Other companies call it blind-spot monitoring; here, it’s called Audi Side Assist. It’s a standard-issue feature warning the driver of any vehicles approaching in the lanes on either side. Outward vision isn’t great in the TT, so all help is welcome. It’s a shame Audi couldn’t fit forward collision avoidance into the 2023 TT.
Rearview monitor
Not just standard, but mandatory. It’s a great thing to have when reversing, though, and there are guidelines superimposed on the screen.
