Digital Matte Painting work from several productions that I worked on during 2012
Inventions - Discovery Channel
I was asked to create a series of matte paintings set during 1920's Chicago.
Created in Photoshop, cg elements modelled in Maya 2012.
Tsunami - BBC
I was asked to take existing footage of a tsunami and replace the entire environment with one of New York. Tracking proved a real problem to perfect due to the compression and low quality of the rushes.
I selected locations that would match the layout of the original footage from google maps which were then replaced with reference images taken on location in New York.
All work was created in Nuke and Photoshop.
The Challenger
This involved reconstruction of the shuttle construction buildings and interiors.
